The Reintegration Opportunity database is an online source of information under the Reintegration Fund for the returnees considering returning to their country of origin under the Voluntary Assisted Return and Reintegration Programme (VARRP).

This database is for individuals who are considering returning home voluntarily under the VARRP programme and organizations dealing with asylum seekers.

This database will NOT answer any queries related to refugee matters, working in the UK, asylum process in the UK and any legal matter related to asylum applications.

The database will ONLY answer queries related to the reintegration assistance.

The purpose of this database is to help you to make an informed decision on your reintegration process.

The database is organised per country, and will contain information on these various elements:

• Apprenticeships,
• Business,
• Employment,
• Health,
• Housing,
• Training and education
• Others.

- any general country information such as the economic, political and security situation in the countries of return.

- any information related to UK-based issues such as asylum claims, legal advice, how to obtain visas for the UK or other immigration matters, as the purpose is to provide information on the countries of return only.

The following explanations should give you an understanding on how the Reintegration Opportunities database works. There are 3 different possibilities to find information:

1. Search the Opportunities Database
This option will allow you to browse the entire database.

For a basic search,
   -   enter a keyword
   -   select a country and a city in the drop-down menus
   -   click on the ‘search’ button at the bottom.

For a more accurate research, click on the ‘advance search’ button
   -   Fill in the same field as for a basic search
   -   select a type of service (as listed above) from the drop-down menu
   -   start the search either to match ALL or ANY of the keywords

2. Ask IOM a Question
If you cannot find the information you are looking for, it is possible to make specific and individual requests. Please note that we are not in a position to answer very general queries such as “reintegration opportunities in Zimbabwe” as it is impossible to provide an all-comprehensive answer within a short time.

To make a request, you need to enter the following fields:

• Enter your name in the appropriate box
• Select a country in the drop-down menu
• If relevant, enter the name of the organisation you belong to
• Select a category in the drop-down menu
• Write your question in the text area
• If you wish to be informed when the answer is posted on the website, enter a valid email address in the appropriate box
• Finally, click on the ‘submit’ button at the bottom to send the request

IOM will carry out the necessary research using its network of offices worldwide. Once available - normally within a day or two - the answer to you query will be posted on the website and if you request it, we will inform you that the answer is available on the website. The confidentiality of the person originating the query will be guaranteed when the answer will be displayed online.

3. Browse Answers to Questions
If you have sent us a query, click on this link to find the answer to your query. This section contains all posted answers to specific question. Select the category and country relevant to your query (same as listed above) and search by question.

What if you cannot find the information that you need?
The database is currently in the process of being expanded and you will find that some sections still need to be documented. We advise you to make use of the ‘Ask a question to IOM’ facility and send us your individual queries following the process described above.

This database does not explain the return procedures.
